RAICES, Rhode Island Folk and Culture Association, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Latin American culture, traditions, and folklore. Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to teach, promote, and share Colombian culture with Latin Americans living in Rhode Island
Mission
To preserve and promote the customs, traditions, and cultural legacy of our ancestors, ensuring their transmission to future generations. By practicing Latin American living arts—such as folk and popular dance, craftsmanship, painting, and traditional music—we strengthen cultural identity and the sense of belonging.
Vission
To be a strong and committed organization dedicated to preserving Latin American folkloric traditions through educational, recreational, promotional, and informational initiatives, ensuring their transmission to future generations in the state of Rhode Island.
